Position Summary  

Provides administrative support to the Legal and Credit Departments. Complies with all AgCredit, ACA policies and procedures while maintaining regular and punctual attendance as expected of this position.

 


 


 

Duties and responsibilities
 

Legal Department: 

  1. Utilizes and maintains documentation for the following items: 
  • Mortgage Log - for timely certification of mortgages/reviews branch certified mortgages.
  • New Loans; loan servicing; denials; territorial clearance; Farm Credit Express; Official Loans; adverse action.

2. Insures the safekeeping of legal documents, including but not limited to: mortgages, mortgage modifications, conditional commitments, FSA guarantees and the release of documents.

3. Enters appraisal orders into Mercury as received.

Reporting:  Gathers information and assembles reports for Board of Directors, Branch and Regional Manager review.

Credit Department:  Provides assistance by organizing and maintaining memorandum in PolicyStat, and maintains current Credit Department forms.

Training:  Attends training programs as provided by the Association.

Customer Service:  Contributes daily to providing quality customer service to internal and external customers, build positive team spirit, and develop quality working relationships between all team members.

Other: Performs other duties as assigned by management.

 
Desired Qualifications
  • Is a current Notary Public or will obtain a Notary Public specification within 30 days of hire.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently, possess time management skills, maintain confidentiality and interact effectively with a diverse group of people.

 

Required Skills

Embraces technology changes and possesses proficiency with personal computer skills and applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and required formats to recognize and correct correspondence and reports.

 

Required Experience

One to two years of specialized administrative assistant training or equivalent experience.

Working knowledge of mortgages and other legal forms used by a lender.

 

Preferred Experience

Four years of related work experience.

 

  • This position is located in Fostoria, Ohio.
  • Office hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Mon. - Fri. (half hour lunch).
  • General office environment.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Travel to/from other branch offices, associations, AgFirst or other facilities as deemed necessary.
  • Must be capable of overnight stays as necessary for training.
