CropLife International's Plant Biotechnology team is seeking a summer intern. This internship is a part of the summer intern program offered by our affiliate, CropLife America, co-located in our Arlington, VA office. CropLife International is the voice and leading advocates for the plant science industry. We champion the role of agricultural innovations in crop protection and plant biotechnology to support and advance sustainable agriculture.
CLA Internship Program
 CLA/CLI offers 3-4 summer internship opportunities: one in government relations, communications, regulatory affairs, and one with CropLife International's Plant Biotechnology team in our Arlington, VA office. We strive to offer a comprehensive internship program that provides an integral experience in the crop protection/plant biotechnology/agricultural industry, including hands-on learning and the opportunity to create a relevant portfolio to present to future employers in the agriculture industry.
These are paid internships, with start dates being flexible with student’s schedules. Internships typically last 10 - 12 weeks. Ideal candidates have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework, have an interest in agriculture policy and be available for the entire duration of the internship. Interns are responsible for their own health insurance, housing and travel expenses to and from Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Work with regulatory teams to evaluate policy progress against industry technical positions
  • Assist in development of resources and advocacy materials around plant biotechnology & trade.
  • Support internal CLI asset and file management / organization systems.
  • Support communications team on relevant publications and products
Candidates must have completed the first semester of their sophomore year by the time the internship begins at CLI. They must be a U.S. citizen and have a strong interest in the agricultural industry, especially seed, plant biotechnology and crop protection.
