The Department of Soil and Crop Sciences at Colorado State University seeks candidates for two Assistant/Associate professor tenure-track positions in the area of Crop Breeding and Genetics.

The Department of Soil and Crop Sciences at Colorado State University seeks candidates for two Assistant/Associate professor tenure-track positions in the area of Crop Breeding and Genetics.

 

1) Assistant/Associate Professor of Wheat Breeding and Genetics. We seek candidates with experience integrating modern biometrics, phenomics, accelerated breeding approaches and/or genomics techniques in applied cultivar development of wheat or other self-pollinated crops. This position includes a 60% research, 20% teaching, and 20% service appointment.

2) Assistant/Associate Professor of Crop Quantitative Genomics. We seek dynamic and motivated scientists who have expertise and demonstrated capacity to facilitate integration of genomics, quantitative genetics, phenomics, bioinformatics, and statistics to develop novel approaches to help meet food system challenges. Commitment to teaching, mentoring excellence, and diversity are important parts of this position. Min. reqs: PhD in a related field by application date; strong record of scholarly achievement; exp. in quantitative genetics and related computational methodologies; effective communication skills; commitment to diversity and inclusion.
