Our Company Animal Health in Madison, NJ has an opportunity for a co-op who will work collaboratively in a team environment to assist in activities and deliverables focused on supporting internal and external communications efforts associated with the development, execution, and realization of our Company Animal Health Intelligence global communications strategy. Primary activities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing support to the communications function by assisting in the creation of a broad array of global communication materials including press release development, fact sheets, website copy across business units.

  • Support the development of collateral material for conferences aligned with corporate branding.

  • Assist in the development and execution of employee communications plan, including ongoing webinar series and quarterly digital employee global newsletter.

  • Develop and maintain distribution lists.

  • Develop stories ideas and write content to be used by our Company Corporate Communication colleagues about business successes and focus areas.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Candidates must be currently in their junior year or above pursuing a college degree preferably in related field (e.g., Business, English, Marketing/Communications).

  • Candidates must be available to work part-time six months beginning in January or February of 2021.

  • Candidates must have basic computer proficiency with Windows-based applications (Excel, Word, Power Point).SharePoint a plus.

  • Candidates must be able to come into the office 2-3 times per week when it is safe to do so.

Preferred Experience or Skills:

  • Candidates should understand the basic principles of communications.

  • Prior communications experience.

  • Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Team player and collaborative spirit.

Working methods

  • Each week, the intern will meet remotely with the supervisor to discuss responsibilities, including deliverables and timeline. 

  • The intern, supervisor and Director will communicate regularly through email weekly videoconference calls, and the intern is encouraged to seek regular feedback from the Director as required throughout the week.

Our Support Functions deliver services and make recommendations about ways to enhance our workplace and the culture of our organization. Our Support Functions include HR, Finance, Information Technology, Legal, Procurement, Administration, Facilities and Security.
