Full Time Lecturer to teach a variety of geoscience and environmental science courses including several large enrollment courses. Workload will be approximately 90% Student-Related activities and 10% service.
Successful candidate will need be able to teach: Physical Geology (GLG101), Environmental Challenges and Solutions (ENV101), Climate Change (ENV 115), Geologic Disasters (GLG 112), Topics in Environmental Studies (ENV 301w), Geologic Communication and Topics (GLG 350w), Humans and the Hydrosphere (ENV 377), Senior Seminar in Environmental Sciences and Studies (ENV 490c
Research and other forms of scholarship activity are not an expectation for this position, and release time will not be allocated for them.
Must at minimum have a Master of Science in Geoscience with an emphasis in Environmental Sciences.
Preferred experience teaching university courses in Climate Change, Natural Disasters, and Earth Science through in-person and on-line delivery to class sizes ranging from small seminars to large lectures with more than 100 students.
Experience developing college curriculum, including the development of on-line content.
Skills to teach a course in Hydrogeology (GLG 451): water chemistry analysis, groundwater flow modeling, job experience.
Experience with technical writing.
Experience with and/or commitment to working with diverse populations
