Position Summary  

The North Carolina Botanical Garden (NCBG) has been a leader in native plant conservation,
horticulture, and education in the southeastern United States for more than 50 years. As part of The

Duties and responsibilities

The Facility and Events Manager is responsible for the oversight of all sales and operations of the facility rentals and events management at NCBG including support staff. In addition, this position is responsible for special event planning, coordination and event preparation for external and internal users and maintains the NCBG calendar. This position develops and maintains up‐to‐date rental policies and procedures and develops well‐defined business functions for facility use operations. Develops and monitors facility use budget and implements a facility use marketing/publicity plan. This position also serves as the NCBG SPOTS Coordinator and educates facility users and vendors on sustainable green event management. Also, this position will be responsible for all facilities maintenance management which will include work order submission and follow‐up, as well as preventive maintenance and upkeep in regards to NCBG facilities.

 

Qualifications

Must have knowledge of environmental principles and best practices, program analysis, marketing and
publicity. Skill in organizing work and coordinating events. Must be able to safely lift up to 25Ibs. as job requires lifting of tables and chairs. Night and weekend work required.
