Portland Parks & Recreation Seek Botanic Technician

Portland Parks & Recreation, City Nature, maintains, restores and enhances over 8,000 acres of natural areas throughout the City of Portland. Additionally, this group is responsible for the building, maintenance, monitoring, and improvement of more than 120 miles of soft surface trails. Botanic Technicians perform natural resource restoration and trail work as assigned. Individuals in these positions will need to effectively navigate and work in remote areas, including off trail in areas of uneven terrain and in extreme weather. 

The current vacancy for Botanic Technician exists in the City Nature Soft Surface Trails Team, we are looking for a candidate who can specialize in trail project work. We are anticipating future hiring from this recruitment to fill current vacancies in City Nature Natural Areas with a natural area maintenance focus.
