The University of Michigan seeks applicants for the LSA Collegiate Fellows Program (LCF), and the President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (PPFP)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Michigan seeks exceptional applicants to nominate for the LSA Collegiate Fellows Program (LCF), and the President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (PPFP). The College of Literature, Science and the Arts (LSA) and the University seek applicants whose research, teaching, and service will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education. The program is particularly interested in scholars with a demonstrated interest in bringing to their teaching, mentoring, service, engagement, and/or research the critical perspectives that come from underrepresented educational backgrounds and pathways or scholarly understanding of the experiences of groups who are historically marginalized in higher education. Successful candidates are offered a postdoc and/or tenure track faculty appointment. Fellows participate in a program that includes faculty mentoring, professional development, and academic networking opportunities.
We are interested in applicants working in any area of Ecology and/or Evolutionary Biology. The University of Michigan and EEB have fantastic resources to build teaching, field and lab programs including the Museum of Zoology, Herbarium, Biological Science Building, Biological Station, Edwin S. George Reserve, and Matthaei Botanical Gardens.
We ask that applicants submit their materials to the department by August 9, 2021. This early submission is strongly recommended and allows us to interview candidates in September, prior to the LCF and PPFP program deadlines. The LCF and PPFP programs consider scholars across multiple disciplines and are administered by the College of LSA and the Provost’s Office, respectively. They have slightly different eligibility requirements, selection criteria, application materials, and deadlines. The department can assist applicants in confirming their eligibility.
