Jade Clark,  Junior MANRRS Coordinator

Jade Clark is a food scientist, food systems leader and proud mother. A Memphis native, Jade returned home in 2015 to lend her knowledge and talents to the communities she holds close.

Her entry into the agriculture industry was a happy accident.  While pursuing pharmacy at the University of Tennessee, she realized food was medicine and key to advancing and healing communities. She continued her post-graduate studies earning an MBA while leading research and development projects for some of the most recognized brands in the country and abroad.

After 10 years of working for global food companies like Coca-Cola, Danone, and Nestle, she left the corporate world and entered the nonprofit sector with a goal of changing youths’ perceptions of food and a future in agriculture and STEM. A leader in the local agricultural community, Jade has successfully executed talent development programs across Memphis, the state of Tennessee and the Southeast region.

“With Jade’s experiences championing youth engagement in STEM and agriculture as well as a passion or fundraising, we felt she would be a great addition to the MANRRS National Office team,” said Ebony Webber, MANRRS CEO. “Junior MANRRS is the fastest growing membership base in MANRRS, and we will need a strong, focused leader to help lead this growth.”

Whether in the classroom, lab or on a farm, Jade understands the power of people and community.  As the Junior MANRRS Coordinator, Jade looks forward to building the Junior MANRRS community and creating space and opportunities for now and the next generation.
