The President's Pulse
June 1, 2026 Our Executive Committee is just over 30 days into this year’s term of service, and we are energized by the work ahead. As we concluded our leadership training and orientation in Atlanta from May 17th to 20th, two values emerged as central to this team: transparency and strong communication. Honoring those values and extending them to you as leaders, members, partners, and champions, I remain committed to contributing to the momentum we are building together.

During the 2025 to 2026 year, we examined our governing documents and asked an important question. Do they reflect who we are today and how we operate as a modern organization? While much remains consistent, that question led to meaningful action, including two amendment processes that strengthened our foundation. In my first 90 days, I will continue the work advanced by my predecessors to ensure MANRRS remains aligned, responsive, and positioned to serve at its highest level.

May focused on equipping our Executive Committee with the tools needed to lead effectively and on reigniting our committee structure. I am pleased to share that all committees, with the exception of Public Relations, are now active with leaders ready to serve. In partnership with the National Office, we have also developed a communication plan centered on transparency and clarity so that we can serve you with excellence.

Over the next 90 days, our national leadership team will collaborate to design an accountability framework that keeps us mission driven and purpose aligned. I look forward to working with our Program Committee and our colleagues at AFA as we prepare for the summer business meeting and launch the Pro CORE segment of the CORE Synergy program. I extend my sincere appreciation to Ebony Webber, Dr. Derris Burnett, AFA colleagues, and our partners at BASF for ensuring our national leaders are intentionally developed and ready to serve so that we, in turn, can develop our members through meaningful programs and experiences.

I will close with a reflection on leadership and followership. The Forbes article Why Every Leader Should Lead at Followingreminds us that effective leaders understand how to follow with humility, curiosity, and respect for the collective wisdom of their teams. The article notes that leaders who practice followership strengthen trust, deepen collaboration, and model the behaviors they hope to inspire in others. This perspective reinforces a truth that guides my own leadership. Great leaders must also be great followers. Too often, we celebrate the position without embracing the responsibility of including others in decisions that shape our direction and our future. My hope is that I have modeled, and will continue to model, leadership that listens, leadership that invites collaboration, and leadership that honors the shared purpose that binds us.

As a final thought, I invite you to join us in a “read with us” moment. Crucial Influence offers a powerful framework for understanding how meaningful change happens and how leaders can influence behavior through clarity, consistency, and shared purpose.

Thank you for your trust, your partnership, and your commitment to MANRRS.

In service,

Dr. Kendriana Price

2026 to 2027 National President
